It took some sweet time to go put to the garage today, was a bit tough to get out of the bed and the cat was sleeping so sweet next to me :) I had some parts removed from the engine, soon completley disassembled, the only thing is to turn it over- but dad have to help me, so that's all for today.
* Happy New Year!

Fabled Route 66 was opened November 11, 1926, but it would take another year before the signs came up. It starts in Chicago and going through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California for 2,448 miles before it ends at the pier in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.
The stretch was early legendary because it was the way many were traveling along the West Coast, especially in the 30s with their overcrowded vanload of funiture. It was roughly the Route 66 has changed over the years as the road improves and new routes. Among other things, ended originally downtown Los Angeles and not currently at the pier in Santa Monica.
Today very few parts of Route 66 remains as original.

Today in the cold, me and my father painted some parts for his Edsel, became only the primer but we will return tomorrow and put on a black coat off paint. it was a bit stressful today because I would leave at five o'clock and we were there at 02:30 pm, but we worked successfuly and effective so we were home at 5:30 pm.
It's been freezing the hole day, minus 18 centigrades the termometer show in the morning. Thought my feet and fingers would snap off that's how cold it was, nevertheless, I had both the scarf, hat, double gloves and underwear on me!
Dad is painting :)

Got a bargen at a flea market in Gotene today, found an transistor radio in very good condition :)
One fine day in the future, it will adorn the back seat, if it's the Nash or the Edsel we'll see then! But for now it fits right in among the other old stuff in my room...

And so it at it again! Has not only wrenched today, but even at the weekend and one day last week I was out in the garage, but than I had no camera.
Have begun to disassemble the engine, no problems so far. When I loosened the plate at the back of the engine (at the picture it is the plate with the hole), it was pouring out oil! That was enough for to day, so next time I will drain out the oil and continued to disassemble.
I also counted a bit on how much orange vinyl I will need throughout the car, and it is all ready ordered! I will get to my seat frames so they can be finished.
Really fun when things is starting to happen, again!

Hip hip hurray! Now I have lived entire 19 years, feel no difference at all, it's just a middle age. A bit more fun to turn twenty...Got good stuff to use in the garage so my father and I do not have to fight over the eqipment, or that I have to wear gloves that dont fit.
A pair of safety glasses, respirator and hearing protector! Has already used them and they fit perfectly.
Thank you father & mother :)

Today it has happened a lot with my little car! It started when I was finished with one floor plate. Then I would start with the second one but then me and dad talked about that we can save a bit of the floor, because it was not so bad that we need to remove it. Said and done, father took up the grinder and sawed the floor...after a few hours of pounding we were satisfied for the day.

Good...that I'm getting, I went out an hour after dinner to the garage and cut a little bit in my floor. Did it all by myself without dad's help, really proud! It pays to work out sometimes...But clumsy as I am, I cut myself! Things happen.

Dad was checking out the engine on my moped, it turned out that one of the bearings was loose, se he had to take it apart more then what was planned..just as well so things dont happens down the road.

Today I was actually out in the garage, but today I have not worked with the car but with my moped, a Cresent Compact. Dad was working with my sisters moped so I came to think that mine needed to be taken care of to.

The blue one is mine.
Then when I sat there I came to mind, that I have not show my shoes for the car that I bought recently! They are gorgeous! I have a scarf and a handbag in the same color, plus my metro-shirt that I got from mom & dad.
