Today I scrap off the insulation on the heat package to remake it.. after the job was half done, my mom came with the brilliant idea that we can heat it up.. that eased a lot! Now it's ready to be send away to get a make over and come back like "new"! :)

Today I was cleaning the heater with a pressure-wash and later this week we'll send it to a company that can clean it much better :)

After four years of "rest" we'll now continue the renovating :)

Today we "attacked" the heater, it's not easy to remove old rubber seal from the Arizona dessert... hard like concrete!!

Since I was finished with the left side I started to grind on the right side to. Now I have to grind to it fits perfect like the other side, it's more to do on this side so it will take a little bit longer. But if it's going to be beautiful it'll take time, some intelligent person sad on TV once.

I started at Monday (4/10) and will continued tonight and then I hope it will be finished!

Now when the plate fits perfect I have to cut out holes for the handbreake and it's little tricky because you can't mark from the original holes, it's to tight to get a pencil to fit there. So you have to measure with your eyes and they can trick you sometimes...

I have been out at the garage two times this week (also Thursday 23/9) but had not the energi to write in the blog afterwards. Dad and I are cuting one plate at a time so it will match perfectly with the original floor.

In this heat I manage to get my as out to the garage, polish off the old plate and cut out the new one so they fit perfectly. Another step closer to welding!

Have done some preparations so I can start weld soon. It's little to hot to work in the garage at day time, I have to wait til the sun have almost get down.

I tried if my old ring will fit on the new speedometer but it doesn't fit at all, I think I have to live with a little slam in the ring if I don't find another one or buy a new one..we will wait and see it's no rush yet!

I also have to buy a newer engine, to renovate the old one is going to cost more then buy a 1500. It's very sad, I wanted the original engine, now I can only hope that someday I will have the money to pay for the renovation. That's life!
